Just finished a build with 3 Lollar P-90's.. All I can say is WOW! Thinkin' we may make Lollar one of our new standards.
I have been in touch with his company, and they have agreed to work with us. ;D

We have been using many different Lollar pickups since the original post. Jason Lollar knows his stuff, and has helped us achieve spectacular results on several occasions. Their service and quality are top notch, and the pickups are excellent!

I have always wanted to try Lollars in a tele, but for some reason (perhaps $$$) never have. They sure sound sweet in that Rice #59 clip!

I tried a collings with Lollar imperials in it and it sounded fantastic We had one Lollar that we didn't like, out of the last 50 or so.. It arrived D.O.A.... I sent it back to them with a note, and received a beautiful new one within a week- along with an apology. Class act over there. Their service and product has been consistently outstanding.

I guess I should. I never pursued it. People who know what we're about can spread the word better than anything else. It just takes longer.

Depends on what you want out of the guitar.. I want a good country sound The two bands I play in right now do a lot of country Newer stuff and classic country but we also do some 60's stuff and classic rock.I would be happy just to set this up for the country stuff.I always take more than one guitar anyway.

I'd go with either the '52 or the Vintage. The '52 is lower output and has a sweet clear tone, the Vintage has more girth while still being very "tele."
