I read that gold traded for over $1000 per ounce yesterday, the highest price in history. It blows my mind, as I grew up when gold was pretty much stable at $32 per ounce. The prediction is that it will head upward to $1250 (short term), and speculation of future prices reaching $2k-$5k.. WTF?!!
I'm certainly no expert, but what (if anything) can be done about this? If the dollar keeps falling, it will eventually be worth nothing..

I'm ready to sell all of my gold jewelry! Years ago I worked at a company that used gold for plating electrical contacts. At that time is was at an all time high of around $850.00 an ounce. Never thought I'd see that level again.
I don't know what to think, say or do. Sometimes I feel that things are really going down the tubes in good old U.S.A. It gets depressing. I comfort myself by buying more guitars. :-)
