While my son (Andy, the drummer) was waiting for his buddies to come over, I went into the dungeon.. I have to admit, I'm not getting any younger- but I plugged in one of my guitars and started rockin' with him. I think we played for a solid hour, full bore.. Joe Walsh, James Gang, Hendrix, G&R, ZZ Top, VanHalen... all rolled together into our own blend with a stiff dose of early Clapton and a trace of AC/DC.. I can't remember the last time I was this hard of hearing.. and it feels FREAKIN" GREAT! ;D ;D ;D

Hey All kidding aside It's great you can jump into something like that with your kids and their friends and have a good time.I miss the times I had with my dad when his friends use to come over and we would sit down and play half the night.Wish I would have done it more. Mine was kinda the other way around. We would sit and play old country tunes until the wee hours.Doesn't matter, just spending time playing with the family is great

Yep, I have to agree. I've done hundreds of gigs with three of my kids, and every time is just too much fun. The band pretty much has run its course, but it was a huge part of our lives for years. Everybody still plays. It just got tough to get everybody together.. Life gets in the way. Every so often, we'll get together to do a wedding or party. It always feels like home. What a blast.
