I recently stumbled on a custom parts store online called Taipantone and immediately told myself to make sure folks on this forum knew about it. So far, their product line caters to Tele players, but not exclusively. Here's the link: taipantone.com/pages/products%202.htmlThe item that intrigues me the most is the one-piece, six-string "ferrel." Apparently the concept for it was first noted on Godin guitars, and Taipantone has machined it from billet stock in various metals. In my mind, the claims for its pleasing effect on guitar tone make it worth investigating. Anyone got a T body to offer up?

Vince(taipan) is a member over at TDPRI I have 2 of his ferrule blocks in my parts drawer.Haven't tried them yet.I have on aluminum and one steel. They seem like a cool idea I also like his extra thick control plate. It matches up much nicer to a 4 ply guard

It's an idea that's been around for at least 18 years on some G&Ls (I first saw them about 10 years ago). Leave it to Leo Fender to do it first. I had a Godin with it and so did my dad. There were no benefits that I could attribute to the design. Both guitars sounded rather blah (LG SP90 and LGX-SA). It was also done by another TDPRI member over three years ago. www.tdpri.com/forum/tele-tech/32413-new-tele-bridge-idea.htmlI have not used Taipan's version. Here's one in a G&L: And a Godin:
