Been on the fringe of exile (meaning the D.C. area) for a few months. Either I or the town has changed - I could not beat it out of there quick enough. I am now back in the Land of Dorothy and Toto and could not be happier.
While in D.C. I got a gig doing some backup for a singer/songwriter. One evening a bunch of us got together - guitars everywhere including some high dollar booteek jobs. All extremely fine guitars. But the one geetar that folks kept coming back to was the Rice Custom. Nah, the Fat C carve neck was not to everyone's liking but folks just grokked over the look and tone. Even had some trade offers but hey, this one is mine - go get your own.
