We're tossing ideas back and forth on this one, thinking that the guitar we had originally chosen for the tour may not be a good representation of a standard Osprey. #091 is a fantastic guitar, but it is the seecond one built and the Osprey has morphed as we work on subsequent guitars. Of course, with each one being drastically different from every other, choosing one as a standard representation is difficult. The main things we're considering are scale length, internal construction, pickup choice, hardware choice, and headstock shape.
Any thoughts from our forum members on this?

Sorry Zomby- that ol' #091 has become one of my personal favorites.. It has now been defaced. I met Dave Mason last week, and asked him to sign it. He was kind enough to accommodate my wishes. The guitar is sweet sweet sweet. I'm the kid on the right. Look what Dave did to #091.. I told him it wasn't for sale...

Ya, it was a cool show with an even cooler ending. He was nice to me, and I was quite starstruck. I've been influenced by his playing for over 40 years.. kinda like meeting a diety, ya know...

OK, the new tour guitar is in progress. It represents our standard Osprey features, and should be ready to go fairly soon.
Solid ash body Hipshot bridge Lollar pickups (Firebird neck, Minihumbucker bridge) Volume/Tone/3-way 25.5" scale maple/rosewood neck 9.5" radius, 6105 frets Mother of Pearl dot inlays ~.87-.97 C shape
This represents the direction we see the Osprey going, of course anything is possible as a custom order.

under no circumstances will I be a part of this tour! I think I have bought every Rice guitar I have ever played, and can't afford another one!

It would be a good one to take to band practice- show your friends... I'd show my friends, if I had any...

sounds like a good idea. We have been jamming every Friday night in my friend's basement. Good stuff. #090 is a real bad ass.
