Hi, I am considering having a semi-hollow tele guitar made for me by RCG, and I was wondering what some owners of semi-hollow or 3/4 hollow RCG experience is with feedback at higher volumes.
I'm a jazz player just getting into rock music with overdrive, and my jazz guitar feeds back a bit with overdrive.
Thanks folks!

I own #92, a semi-hollow pine-bodied Rice Custom guitar, and I have not any feedback at all at high volumes. This guitar has a wonderful woody resonance to the tone. And I ditto what Marty said. Go for it!

Banjoben:
I have Rice # 087 - a semi hollow tele type with 2 P90s. I play jazz at moderate sound levels (Roland Blues Cube 60) and have no feedback issues. I usually use both P-90s although using just the neck pup gives an extremely mellow jazz tone.
I couldn't be happier about the guitar and am still amazed at the craftsmanship.
When I get a chance I will stomp on the volume and see if there is feedback.

Hi guys I have the RCG #60 aka the Blue Beastie. I own guitars from basically every major brand there is, from of the shelves stock models, to prestigious custom models. The Rice Custom is by far the best investment I ever made.
My main rig is Engl Classic 50 head, into a 4x10 Engl Classic Custom Cabinet. I also own a Rivera Chubster 55 that sees quite some playing time.
I play pretty loud on stage, not like ridiculously, but the venues are quite big and the stages usually spacious. I need to feel some OOOOMPH in my back as I play. Being the worlds most lousy lead guitarist, you will pretty much finding me providing a rhythmical guitar backdrop for the lead guy to frolic on. Needless to say I need to go from soft to CRUNCH in a matter of seconds.
I never experienced anything even remotely close to feedback playing live with my RCG and tube amps. So from soft jazz to aggressive rock, it gives me everything I need. I just finished touring without even bringing an electric backup axe..... that says it all

I've got a semi-hollow Rice Custom made almost entirely of Alder. The guitar has a tele pickup in the bridge and a minibucker in the neck. I use it mostly for alt-country stuff but I'm finding that it does classic rock really well. I've had a few occasions when I got careless with my proximity to the amp and got a bit of feedback but it certainly isn't a major problem. In fact, this is my favorite guitar. I highly recommend Rice guitars.

Hey there- I owned a Rice semi hollow and I had 0 feedback issues. Absolutely none. And I used to crank it too, at home and on stage. I wouldn't worry about it man.

Hey I have a Rice semi-hollow that I play through an orange ad30 (very loud) and had never had feedback problems, then again it doesn't have f holes. I really like the how warm the tone is. If you get it you will love it I'm sure.
