I put a page up on our website a few months ago that lists out some of what I think is special. Of course, I just realized that it is fairly well buried on the site. So here is my list, please add what makes yours special.

No hiding behind internet personas, no excuses. Just the best service in the business.
We only sell direct, our guitars are not in stores or for sale in some virtual online store.
This keeps us in control of shop wear, incompetent representation, and customer relations.
It also keeps the prices realistic, saving you hundreds of dollars.

We don't know how to stop before a guitar has ceased being a pile of wood metal and plastic, and turned into a
musical instrument. Each instrument gets the full benefit of our attention and will not leave before it is ready.
Building guitars as if they were for ourselves is not the way to go. "Oh, I can live with that" doesn't cut it here.
Each guitar has to be the best one yet, always forward progress. There is no customer better than any other.
Progress Updates
Having a guitar custom built for you is a daunting thing for many people. We do our best to make it painless
through photos, e-mails, phone calls, and video clips of the finished guitar. Having a Rice Custom built for you
is an experience like no other in the music industry. These aren't mass produced GSOs (Guitar Shaped Objects),
but handmade works with personality all their own.
The Little Things
We believe that it is the small details that make the difference between a good instrument and a great instrument. It is easy to
find a guitar that "gets the job done," but much more difficult to find that special one that draws the music from you as you draw
the music from it. Things like neck feel, fretwork, nut shape/polish, pickguard bevels, switchtip shaping, control placement,
individual voicing of each guitar's electronics, detailed setups, care in assembly, component selection, contours, screws, sharp
object control, and on and on. These are some of the things that are perfection for us and are exemplified in our work.
Customer Satisfaction
We aren't in the business of selling guitars to people who don't want them. These are meant to be life companions.
Read the RCG warranty. Straight to the point, we stand behind every guitar with our name on it. I'm a Rice. So are they.
To further this goal, we offer a 48-hour trial on all of our spec instruments on the "For Sale" page.
This gives you a chance to play the guitar in your comfort zone with your gear, away from outside pressures.
