I noticed on the site that you guys built an acoustic guitar. Any plans on building any more? I think an OM would be great.

I've been toying with doing another acoustic build, but I haven't decided exactly what I want to do.. I'm thinking of doing a charango from scratch.. (I mentioned one briefly in the acoustic section- Google it, and you will see lots of different kinds). One day I want to do a harp guitar, the next day I want to do a resonator, and on and on.. Best to wait and see.. I'm flopping too much right now. I absolutely loved doing the acoustic- and learned plenty. Much of my newly acquired knowledge has leached into my electric builds, and changed many of my techniques. It was awesome.

Sounds like you suffer from the same condition as me. That charango looks pretty interesting too.

Trouble with a charango, armadillos are pretty scarce around Chicago.. I may have to make one from wood..
I've almost thought it through.. If it ends up a go, I'll run it as a thread. That instrument keeps coming into my head.. May have to do an electric/acoustic version... hmmm...

Wood might be a little more forgiving too... Do you know what type/gauges of strings are necessary?

No. The ones I played in Antigua had steel strings. I found some instructional material for charango , and plan on having it ordered through the studio where I teach guitar. Once I read through it, I'll be able to figure that stuff out.
