Over the years we've had a few people e-mail clips they've made with their guitars. I've started compiling them on the internet for a new page on the RCG website. It isn't linked anywhere but here for now, so you get to be the first to hear some cool stuff. I love hearing what other people do with the guitars. If you have clips, send them over to me to add! www.ricecustomguitars.com/sounds.htmlI'm planning on putting a link to each guitar's gallery on the website.

Wow, what a great idea. There is some nice stuff on there. My clip is really remarkable. It made me think of a guy from the city, who had never ridden a horse, suddenly made to ride at full speed on a beautiful wild horse. He sort of gets tossed off and tumbles away into the brush while observers say, "that's a really nice horse."

OK, we've got links to the galleries now. I have a few more clips from years past, just need to figure out which guitar is on which clip before I can post 'em.

Yeah, the piney sounds absolutely incredible. It is like the ultimate tele tone, with an edge of that rich hollowness from the chambers. Rich was explaining to me how he made the back and top thin so that they would resonate and project like a fiddle. How cool is that? I feel exceedingly lucky to have been able to buy that guitar. And yes, Jeremy, the amp is a Richter 5E3, and the combo of the two feels like the destination of a long journey. The Richter demands that you get the best possible single coil guitar from it. I am glad you enjoyed the clips. I am hoping to give others a glimpse of the tone from these special Rice guitars. There is something truly magic going on here.

My Rice in progress isn't a tele but will be going through a richter 5e3 once I get it! I think I might start looking for something different once I get my Rice that has a MV cuz I can't really get the 5e3 cooking the way I like it right now (living in an apt. in philly playing really small venues). But maybe an attenuator is the ticket? I'm not sure yet but I'm gonna take my Rice on tour of the local shops amp hunting once I get it to see if theres anything that will suit better.(and to show off my rice custom!)

That"s the one, yep. It's coming around. Most of the parts are due in next week. It will have more of a 335 vibe, Lindy Fralin wound up some special pickups for it. Hum in the bridge, and a P-92 in the neck. Should be HUGE and lively. I can't wait!
