I can't reveal my wiring secrets. Hoodoo Magic seems to be the best explanation for how ya get all that stuff to do what it does and then fit it all under a control plate. Very, very nice guitar. I love those Kingswood boards - beautious. Play the heck out of her. Actually, I don't recall exactly how I did it...Every guitar is different and wired as such. I have some things I usually do, but they change every few months as my tonal ideas change.

Playing back recordings of practicing, I can more easily identify issues with my technique. Nothing is hidden. I can hear (feel) when a finger moves during a chord as my hand begins too early to set up for the next one, when a fingertip slips from the callous to softer skin in a lead line . . . the slightest modulation in my picking is amplified. The detail is superb. High resolution, as it were. It makes me question whether I've ever actually taken the time or made the effort to really listen to my playing, to seriously think about resetting my muscle memory, training out my weaknesses. Or maybe I'm just past 50 & gone all reflective . . . . . and I'm ok with that. Observe, think, work, habituate, then forget the process and let the music flow . . . . . and flow at a much higher level of artistic expression, thanks to the Rice Custom's excellence at allowing all of the complexity & nuance of even a simple melodic line shine through. And when the beast escapes to run rampant? Smell his funk!! Feel his hot breath on your neck in the last second before he shreds your sensibilities!! Run, you pitiful mortal. RUN!! "Let your heart speak through your guitar. Play a Rice Custom." Eh? Eh? ;D or: "Ready to hear the Truth? Play a Rice Custom."heh heh . . . . OK, I got work to do. Enjoy the weekend, and thanks. Ed
