Hi Rich - I researched it more out of curiosity. I had never heard of that wood before. I was in no way doubting you. I just wanted to learn about it. And from what I learned, you're right: People really love it in every application.

One thing I like about the slicker feel is that there is less difference in feel between the frets with block inlays and the ones without. If the wood is rough and the inlays are smooth it can be a major distraction for my playing.

That's interesting. Both my Strat and Tele have maple necks, and I love the slick feel. So the cocobolo will be good.

Thanks Greg. The MOP is starting to polish with the radiusing, there are lots of beautiful colors coming out now. It'll play great, and the looks are starting to shine. I don't want to treat the surface too much, but the cocobolo will return to the darker hues once I finish the next few steps.
