Back in Topeka my favorite little Mom and Pop store got in a 1970s or 1980s Alvarez J-200 knockoff. I will tell ya, I thought that sucker projected better and had a more balanced tone than many of the J-200 type guitars I had tried out some of which cost ten times as much.
