Semihollow CTS with a 1-piece Indian Rosewood HUGE neck. Mahogany core with a zebrawood top and back and Osprey soundhole. Bartolini minihumbuckers and Schaller bridge.

I've decided to use a pinstripe of fir between the mahogany and the zebrawood, should give this one a touch of class. I also think I'll do it heavily chambered, but no F-hole. It would be a shame to cut up the top wood, as it has been nicely bookmatched.

I added another accent, a very fine hickory veneer, between the zebrawood and the fir. I wasn't crazy about the transition from the zebrawood directly to the pinkish color of the fir. This veneer is a scant 1/32" thick, but will be a nice line of demarcation between the two woods. The fir should look great against the mahogany, though.

I haven't decided yet.. It can't be any harder than this cocobolo one I did a couple of years ago.. I was told it couldn't be done- then I did it anyhow. I like a good challenge (masochistic streak)

Well, I had to run the music store and teach today- but I managed to rough cut the body before I left, and started in on some massive chambering. I'll shoot some pics in the morning. I routed out more of the chambers tonight, and then started in on finishing a pair of pineys- one T style, one Osprey. I also dismantled an ancient bookshelf today, and will start reclaiming the wood from that. I think it's old growth pine, but it's hard to tell through the mahogany red stain and varnish. What I could see was some really cool figuring in the wood, and some knots.. Anyhow, more pics from this build in a few hours, when there's some sunlight.

Well, I glued each set first, then made a big stack.. Keeping even pressure on all of this was a challenge. The hickory layer went on seperately, and I traced the outline of the body shape on it, to get my chambering layout.. At this point I got so busy that I neglected to take pics.. I ended up cutting the rough shape and chambering the body, tracing the shape to the finish top wood, and gluing the whole thing together... Now we wait and see...
