I used to live up around Rand & Dundee back in the day. My second "home" was a place called Gatsbys on Rand & Arlington Hts. I'm sure it's gone by now.

Nope. Gatsby's is still there. I used to go in there, too. Small world.

Howdy Ya'll. I am pleased as a pig in clover cuz Rice Custom #047 is mine.
I am a geezer - let's just say I will never see my mid-50s again.
We have moved around quite a bit in the past five years or so - After settling down in Mississippi for some 15 years, we headed up to Ohio for a bit, and then on to Topeka, KS for about 2 1/2 years. We presently live in the Washington, D.C. area.
Anyway, I like the idea of a Rice forum. This could be alot of fun and maybe I will learn a thing or two from the Rice Clan.

I'm Ben, live on the central coast of California, 31 years old...I'm morroben on the TDPRI as well. I like the new forum, although it makes me want a Rice Custom Jazzmaster type guitar in a bad way.

Hey. I'm Bob and currently am in cold MN going to school. School is expensive as is guitars and amps, which is unfortunate. Although I am big guitar fan, right now I am going through an amp stage trying to find that perfect one.

Hey Bob
Welcome! I went through that amp search for years, and finally wound up almost full circle. LOL
Transistor amps, digital amps, hybrids.. Now I'm back to SF Fenders- pretty much where I started.. go figure. Glad you popped in!

Hello, everyone, my name is Bruce and live in Gilbert (burb of Phoenix), Arizona. I was the very lucky winner of the 2006 TDPRI Grand Prize...a beautiful Rice Custom: Into the Blues, Blues-Rock, Rock, some alt-Country, Jazz. Basically another middle aged white dude playin' the Blues and collecting gear. Also love baseball, college football, movies and hanging out with my wife & teenage sons (when they'll allow it).

Nick Buriegi owner of #113 of Hoffman Estates, IL. Jamband guitarist. Main band = www.ScarletMountain.netAlso do many acoustic shows in the greater Chicagoland area. When not gigging myself I also run small/medium size sound for folks interested in just playing and not the soundboard, mains and monitors, etc.... Had the great pleasure of meeting then hanging out with Rich & Chris at the Elgin show! Knew them both from the Tele forum. Then Found out we have a handful of mutual acquaintances. And then got my first RICE!!! Hooray for me!

Welcome to the family, Nick! Glad you are digging the Tulip.
You probably know John through the Grateful Greg Miller connection. They play together regularly.
